Last Of It's Kind - The Dairy Queen Eskimo

We go to Dairy Queen every night here in Grafton.

Why? Well, mainly because that's just what we do. It's a tradition. But it's also because this Dairy Queen is unique. It's privately owned, well managed, and, according to the owner, it has the last Eskimo version of the DQ sign in existence. However, I did find reference to one in Charlotte, NC... "It's not hard to spot the Wilkinson Dairy Queen with the big Eskimo sign atop..." Here's the one in Grafton.

We used to live not far off Wilkinson in Charlotte, I can't remember the Eskimo. I'll have to ask Jay.

Sarah... the owner of the Dairy Queen here thinks it's the last one in use anywhere. I'm not trying to burst her bubble, I'm trying to help her substantiate her claim. I've researched and can't find another with visual evidence.

Jay remembers the Eskimo, doesn't remember if it's still there. Want me to see if someone will drive by and get a pic? He has family there.

Yes... I'd love that!
