Rocky's Part-Part-Part-Time Gig

This was one crazy evening.

We take the kids to Dairy Queen each night we're in West Virginia. Several of the past few nights the owner has been the only one in the shop... her employees just didn't show up for work. Tonight, when we arrived a large group filed in behind us and we could see the owner was frazzled. So, Rocky asked if she could help. And she did.

A few minutes turned into a few hours. :) The kids enjoyed seeing their Mom behind the counter of their favorite ice cream spot. Here's a 2-minute video to show you how she faired with no training. The end of the video was not really the end either. Rocky went back in and I took the kids home. She came strolling in around 10 pm.

If you look closely, you'll see she's enjoying herself. I'm thinking this is easier than getting 6 kids ready for bed. :)

Awesome work, Rocky!

I'll bet you couldn't do that in SoCal. I'm sure you had a blast!

Seriously! Here's the best part of the story. 10 minutes in, the owner left Rocky in charge and ran to her house to do something. Rocky was handling cash within 2 minutes. No... that would NOT have happened in SoCal! :)

Rocky is a trip! First, awesome that she offered to help (I'm sure she was getting a break from you and the kids), then I cannot believe the owner took off and left her in charge - that is a priceless memory!

Is WV a different planet or what?
