Video Quality Comparison

I shot some video of our hike to Flat Rocks today.

I've been wanting to show a good comparison of video services and this seemed as good a time as any. I love the quickness of compression once you've uploaded a video to YouTube, but not the end result. The compression is weak.

I'm a big fan of Brightcove, which we use for all of our How To Videos at RealEstateShows.com. But this comparison is between Veoh and YouTube. Veoh delivers a great end result, but the compression usually takes hours. So, if you're wanting to get a video up and post it quickly, it can be a bit frustrating. But if you're not in a hurry... Veoh is great.

Here is the Veoh version:

Nice Vid. I thought yrr singing sounded just fine, by the way. You picked a key & stuck with it spot on, as well as delivering appropriate emotional inflection. I think you could front a band if you really wanted to.

Among my many hats I'm still a pro musician, so I'm officiallly dissing Bob's critical view. On the other hand, the part about not quitting the day job is excellent advice. The music industry sux!

Bob secretly wishes he could sing and is obviously insecure about it. He hides his insecurity behind terse comments. :)
