This is the elementary school my Mother attended and where my Grandmother was a cook. I can still remember going and watching my Grandmother prepare the food for the day. Properly renovated, this would be an amazing building today.

Grafton, West Virginia was once a thriving city.

Steve Shaluta has an amazing gallery of historical photos from Grafton's hay day. Today, Main Street is empty and the buildings are modern ruins. This is going to be the first of many photo posts showing some of the decay. It's sad, but made sadder by how much beauty surrounds the city.
