Hiking At Coopers Rock

One of the best view spots in West Virginia is Coopers Rock.

"Coopers Rock State Forest gets its name from a legend about a fugitive who hid from the law near what is now the overlook." - coopersrockstateforest.com

It's also a great place to hike and has become a yearly ritual for us. We hike "Rattlesnake Trail," a rocky trail that winds under the overlook and through the large rock outcroppings that make this place unique.

You can view a short highlight video of our hike here.
